Amitabh Bachchan’s First Home Prateeksha Finds a New Owner in Daughter Shweta
According to Moneycontrol on November 24, citing property records obtained by Zapkey, Bollywood celebrities Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan gave their daughter Shweta Nanda Bachchan their opulent mansion, Pratiksha, in the affluent Juhu neighborhood of Mumbai.
The investigation states that on November 8, two separate gift deeds were used to formally transfer ownership, and ₹50.65 lakh in stamp duty was paid during the transaction.
The property is situated in Mumbai’s Juhu on two plots that are 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m, respectively. The Vithal Nagar Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. owns the plots as well.
According to the document, Shweta Nanda is the donee and Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan are the donors.
In the past, Amitabh Bachchan said that his father had given the villa its name when he was presenting the game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” The line “swagat sabke liye yahan par nehin kisike liye prateeksha” (everyone is welcome here, but there is no wait for anyone) from his father’s poem makes reference to it, he continued.
After seeing the teaser for “The Archies,” Amitabh Bachchan expresses his affection for his grandson Agastya Nanda by saying, “You carry the torch.”
The Juhu’s home was the first one he had ever lived in with his parents, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji.
