Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is a corporation that specializes in oil and telecoms. Its chairman, Mukesh Ambani, stated that RIL was, is, and will always be a Gujarati enterprise. Reliance is Gujrati. This is what he meant. Speaking on Wednesday at the VGGS 2024 opening event in Gandhinagar, Ambani stated that RIL had invested $150 billion (about Rs. 12 lakh crore) in Gujarat over the last ten years.

“Reliance was, is, and will always remain a Gujrati company, and I am a proud Gujrati,” Ambani declared.

He stated, “You have laid a solid foundation for ‘Viksit Bharat,'” addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By 2047, India will have a $35 trillion economy, and nothing on Earth can stop it. Additionally, he predicted that Gujarat alone would grow to have a $3 trillion GDP.

Gujarat received five promises from the RIL CMD. “We will support Gujarat’s goal of using renewable energy by 2030 to meet half of its energy needs.” He also revealed plans to expand Reliance Retail to help small retail businesses and farmers. “The 5G-enabled AI revolution will make Gujarat’s economy more productive, efficient, and globally competitive,” he added, referring to Reliance Jio’s 5G rollout in the state. “Gujarat will become a leader in new materials and the circular economy thanks to Reliance,” he continued. Reliance is establishing India’s first carbon fiber factory in Hazira as a first step.
