Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was shot and killed on Tuesday in Jaipur by unidentified gunmen. After shooting Gogamedi inside his home, the assailants left the scene. The entire event was captured on camera.
Gangster Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi’s death in a Facebook post shortly after the occurrence.
In the footage, two individuals can be seen shooting Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi many times and shooting a man who is waiting at the door. Gogamedi’s bullet wounds are visible as he collapses to the ground.
Gogamedi was brought to a hospital following the event, but he passed away from his wounds. According to officials, Ajit Singh, who was accompanying Gogamedi at the time of the event, suffered critical injuries.
According to preliminary accounts, Gogamedi was inside a residence when four individuals broke in and started shooting at him. The firing injured one of Gogamedi’s security guards as well as another individual, Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said news agency PTI.
The event is being looked into by the police.
